Foam core
Keep the core aligned in its cover. Turn or rotate cushions where their shape, finish and cover allow, to spread everyday use. Handle thin wraps and stockinette gently when removing covers.
A little regular attention helps your cushion interiors sit neatly inside the covers you love. Always follow any specific care instructions supplied with your product.
Keep the core aligned in its cover. Turn or rotate cushions where their shape, finish and cover allow, to spread everyday use. Handle thin wraps and stockinette gently when removing covers.
Plump and re-dress regularly to redistribute the filling and restore a rounded appearance. Use your hands, working the filling gently towards the corners. Turn and rotate only where the cushion is designed to allow it.
Keep the core centred and plump the outer fibre layer regularly. A shaped core and loose fibre have different roles: the jacket still needs attention to keep its softer, fuller look.
Blot a spill promptly with a clean, dry cloth rather than rubbing it further into the cushion. Follow the decorative cover’s own care label; a removable cover is not necessarily machine washable.
Do not assume the foam, fibre insert or jacket can be washed with the cover. Check the product’s care instructions before using water, cleaning chemicals, steam or heat. Keep interiors dry, and don’t put a damp interior back inside its cover.
A change in feel can have more than one cause. If a cushion becomes markedly uneven, the cover is under strain, or you notice damage, check the whole cushion and support beneath it rather than cutting or adding material straight away.
